These drop in classes are free for all UVA students, faculty, staff, and other UVA affiliates who have an IM REC membership.

All levels and experiences welcome including those who have no prior yoga experience. Each class explores a slightly different style of yoga practice. No RSVP required.
Flow Night Owl Yoga
These classes combine elements from Hatha and Flow yoga styles.

Night Owl Ashtanga Yoga - Sunday
This class explores the Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga tradition. 
Instructor: Susannah Derr
“Ashtanga” means “8-limbed method,” which includes a number of mind-body elements that practitioners slowly attenuate and control. Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a set series with specific inhale and exhale for every movement which when coupled with attention contributes to greater health and wellbeing. You will be introduced to these dimensions, especially through an introduction to postures, breathing and concentrations practices, and deep relaxation.
