Mysore Ashtanga Yoga: Friday Mornings

Mysore Ashtanga yoga is based on the style of yoga taught in Mysore, India. Students receive individualized instruction in the Ashtanga yoga sequence within a group setting. Participants slowly memorize the sequence while linking the postures with the breath so that it becomes a moving meditation. Everyone receives instruction based on level and ability but generally work within the traditional Ashtanga yoga sequence. Mysore is open to everyone and suitable for all body types and levels of experience. Mysore is most effective as a regular practice (3-6x/week) allowing patterns in the body and mind to be worked with guidance.
