Sept 5 - Clemons 220; All Other Classes - Garden 1 (Rain Location: Clemons 220)

This class will cover the basics of T'ai Chi, a martial art characterized by soft, slow flowing movements of the torso and arms coordinated with weight shifts and steps. T'ai Chi emphasizes relaxation and is a form of meditation in motion that improves balance, muscle tone, and also promotes stress reduction.
Sessions are free and open to all students, faculty, staff, and Charlottesville community members and guests. Prior registration is not required. Participation is first come, first served, so attendees are invited to arrive early to secure a spot.
Scheduling Note: Note that classes will meet in Garden 1 (In case of inclement weather location, this class will meet in Clemons 220).

Instructor: Hiromi Johnson
Hiromi received the Mildred W. Spicer Award in November 2018 which recognizes people around Charlottesville who help create artistic opportunities for those with disabilities.
