Applying Mindfulness Practices to Support School Leadership: Mixed Methods Research on the Leading Together Intervention.
Led by Sara E. Rimm-Kaufman, Professor, Center for the Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning, Curry School of Education, University of Virginia; this program is using the Leading Together intervention as a model for exposing school leaders to reflective and mindful practices that may enhance teaching and learning environments. It collaborates with colleagues in the Curry School of Education, various primary and secondary school communities, and with developers of the Leading Together initiative, Pamela Seigle and Chip Wood at the Center for Courage & Renewal. The project is already underway and will be run with CSC support from the fall, 2013 through summer, 2014. Results will be measured by examining the learning outcomes in schools from which participant-educators have been drawn.
