 Enjoy a morning yoga class on the Lawn. John Bultman will guide you through a series of poses while focusing on breathing and relaxation. Expect to build up a sweat while developing strength, flexibility and peace of mind. All experience levels are welcome. Wear comfortable clothes; yoga mats are provided. In case of rain, this seminar will take place at the Aquatic & Fitness Center.
John Bultman was Authorized (Level II) to teach by his teacher Sharath Jois, Director of KPJAYI, Krishna Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute, Mysore, India. He is the​ currently the principal instructor for the University of Virginia’s Ashtanga Yoga program run by the Contemplative Sciences Center.  ​John received a MS with an emphasis in Structural Geology and Tectonics from the University of Tennessee under the direction of distinguished professor Bob Hatcher. He is currently teaching Oceanography as an adjunct instructor at Piedmont Valley Community College. Before majoring in Geology he was a music major, skateboarder, and touring indie rock musician. Though he was not professionally trained he also works in painting, ceramics, and stained glass. He has studied various scientific and spiritual practices his entire life and hopes to share the fruits of what his teachers have graciously taught him with humility, warmth, and patience.
