Contemplative Drop-in Classes—Spring 2020
| PRESS RELEASE | A new model of higher education based upon experiential modes of deep learning, facilitating student flourishing.
CSC will be offering free drop-in classes in CSC's Contemplative Room 220, beginning January 21, 2020. Located on the second floor of Clemons Library, Room 220 is also a reservable space for contemplative practices. At times when classes are not in session it serves as a quiet drop-in space.

WHEN: January 21 - April 30 — All classes meet weekly and will follow breaks according to UVA's academic calendar. There are no UVA classes on January 20, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, nor during spring break 3/7-3/15/20.)|The room is open during Clemons Library hours.
WHO: open to all UVA students, faculty, staff, and community members/guests (unless otherwise noted in the program details.)
FREE: for all participants.
Registration is not required, participation is first come, first served. Participants are encouraged to arrive early to secure a spot.
- Night Owl Yoga will be offered January 14 - May 3, 2020 as a free weekly drop-in class on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 8-9pm at the Aquatic Fitness Center (AFC IM Rec) Room MP1.
- Additional CSC yoga classes.
Individuals and organizations may reserve times for contemplative activities when other programming is not occurring, pending review. At all other times, this room serves as a quiet, drop-in space for contemplative activities.

Yoga mats, meditation cushions, and other supplies for the room are available for use in the space: please check with the student workers at the second-floor main desk or with Katie Densberger, Director of the Georges Student Center (924-1285), to request access to the supplies for Room 220.

Operated by CSC, Clemons 220 is part of the Dathel and John Georges Student Center, a focal point for total advising at UVA, and contains large study areas as well as reservable rooms for groups.
