Postdoctoral Fellows
Overview
The postdoctoral program is for researchers studying a broad spectrum of topics related to contemplation in human bodies, minds, cultures, and ecologies. The program recruits postdoctoral scholars through a competitive process to grow expertise and contribute to advancing research at the UVA’s Contemplative Sciences Center.
Fellows work as a member of the Contemplative Sciences Center's CIRCL: Contemplative Innovation + Research Collaborative Lab and join a consortium of faculty researchers from across the twelve schools at the UVA. Each Fellow receives mentorship from faculty, professional training in transdisciplinary research methods, and administrative support.
Fellows are expected to collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams, produce scholarship, participate in CIRCL and community activities, and other responsibilities that align with the fellowship. Depending on opportunities and expertise, Fellows will develop a research focus and join or manage a research project.
If you are interested in applying to the Contemplative Research Fellows Postdoctoral Program, please email circl@virginia.edu for more details.
