This class is sponsored by the Compassionate Care Initiative. The course introduces mindfulness practices to facilitate coping with stress and greater engagement with life. Mindfulness involves bringing intentional non-judgmental awareness to what is happening in the present moment. This class is highly experiential, using a lab/seminar format designed for college students to explore applications of mindfulness in mind-body awareness, mindful eating, communication skills, and stress management.
