Join instructor Hiromi Johnson for free drop-in T'ai Chi sessions on Wednesday evenings—no experience necessary!
This class will cover the basics of T'ai Chi, a martial art characterized by soft, slow flowing movements of the torso and arms coordinated with weight shifts and steps. T'ai Chi emphasizes relaxation and is a form of meditation in motion that improves balance, muscle tone, and promotes stress reduction.
Sessions are free and open to all students, faculty, staff, and Charlottesville community members and guests. Prior registration is not required.

CSC offers free drop-in programs in Contemplative Room 220, located on the second floor of Clemons Library. The room is also a reservable space for contemplative practices and serves as a quiet, drop-in space at all other times.
