Co-Sponsored by the U.Va. Center for Appreciative Practice, U.Va. School of Nursing and U.Va. Mindfulness Center are pleased to present the Wisdom & Well-being Speaker Series with Rick Hanson, PhD., on a talk entitled The Practical Neuroscience of Happiness.
The recent explosion of research in improving well-being and life satisfaction can help us create a more meaningful life, more enjoyment from work, and communities that foster wisdom & well-being for all. 
Rick Hanson, Ph.D., is a neuropsychologist and New York Times best-selling author. His books include Hardwiring Happiness, Buddha’s Brain, Just One Thing, and Mother Nurture. He is founder of the Wellspring Institute for Neuroscience and Contemplative Wisdom and a member of the UC Berkley Greater Good Science Center’s Advisory Board.  Dr. Hanson has been invited to speak at Oxford, Stanford, and Harvard, and has taught in meditation centers worldwide. He has several audio programs and his free Just One Thing newsletter has over 100,000 subscribers.
