We know that challenging emotions come with the territory of caring for patients, yet those who do this work rarely get the chance to pause, share and reflect on those feelings. The Schwartz Rounds provides a forum for these conversations.

When the Odds are Against Me, Don’t Count Me Out:

It is tough to be an acutely sick teenager - especially when you are far from home and your parents can't always be there. It is even tougher when you don't know what's going to happen.

Schwartz Center Rounds are open to everyone -- faculty, staff, students, caregivers, and non-caregivers -- to offer a safe forum to discuss the difficult psychological, social, and emotional aspects of providing care. The open-forum format is case-based, exploring real UVa cases.

Please join us for the November 22 event: When the Odds are Against Me, Don’t Count Me Out

There is NO COST to attend. Prior registration is encouraged for CME/CEU credit and so that we may provide enough food for everyone. Walk-ins are welcome to attend.
