Led by colleagues at Emory University, Susan Bauer-Wu, Professor, U.Va. School of Nursing, is working closely and developing a tailored mindfulness-based intervention for people with end-stage kidney disease. Outcomes of this study will determine if training in mindfulness during hemodialysis minimizes dangerous complications of medical treatment in high-risk patients. It runs from July, 2013 to June, 2015.
