CSC is hosting tours of the Contemplative Commons and the nearby Dell as part of UVA's 2023 Family Weekend being held November 3-5. Events will take place throughout the weekend, including a home football game against Georgia Tech on Saturday, November 4.
MINDFUL WALK AT THE DELL

Dell Pond Overlook
Take a mindful and peaceful tour of the Dell with CSC's Anthony DeMauro and Ellen Graves. Learn about the ecology, history, and the relationship to the Contemplative Commons' art installations. Meet at the Dell Pond Overlook on Emmett Street across from the UVA Bookstore. Please dress for the weather.

Join leadership from the Contemplative Sciences Center on a behind the scenes tour of the Contemplative Commons, UVA's first contemporary building specifically designed for a new model of higher education—one dedicated to whole-student learning and flourishing! This is a tour of a construction site; tour attendees must be able to navigate themselves through rough terrain and wear sturdy closed-toed shoes and long pants. Limited to 15 participants.
