Spring 2021 CAPS/CSC Mindfulness Meetup Groups



WHEN: Spring 2021 Semester February 1 - May 7.
Groups start when there is a minimum of 4 people signed up per group.

Make mindfulness a habit by joining one of UVA’s new Mindfulness Meetup groups, hosted by the Contemplative Sciences Center and Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS).
Regularly practicing mindfulness—taking the time to intentionally focus on the present moment without judgment—will make you feel and function better. Practicing with others also gives you a much-needed sense of social connection and belonging. Mindfulness can help relieve stress, build resilience, and maintain social connections.
We are offering number of mindfulness meditation groups this semester. The groups are open to all UVA students looking for a way to engage in mindfulness practices in a safe and supportive space. Sessions will begin with a brief introduction, followed by mindfulness practice and debriefing. 
No previous experience required. All groups are virtual and a Zoom link will be provided.
You may join the group at any point during the semester and groups will run for the duration of the semester.
