When
The 12th annual Tom Tom Festival is taking place in Charlottesville April 17-21, 2024. This year's theme is TOGETHER — encouraging us to gather as a community for a celebration that is about our interconnection, and our shared future.
The festival includes a TOGETHER Conference which will convene engaged citizen leaders from all sectors and neighborhoods to talk about the future of the community. CSC's and UVA faculty will be speaking on two panels as part of the Conscious City Conference track, one of four immersive tracks curated to tackle some of the most important questions of the day with leading thinkers, while leaving space for pause, self-reflection, and connection.
The Four Tracks
CSC's Michael Sheehy will be speaking on two panels as part of the Conscious City Conference being held April 20, 2024 from 12:30-1:30pm and 2:30 - 3:30pm
- "Psychedelics & Meditation: Philosophical & Cultural Perspectives" explores consonance and difference with psychedelics and meditation from historical, philosophical, and cultural perspectives. (12:30-1:30pm) Speaker: Michael Sheehy
- "Science of Psychedelics: What’s Next In Charlottesville" will explore the emerging scientific research on psychedelics and the impact of this research on clinical and therapeutic applications. (2:30-3:30pm) Speakers: Michael Sheehy and Kim Penberthy.
