Student Mindfulness Meetups

Each semester CSC and Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) jointly host Student Mindfulness Meetups. These groups meet for one hour weekly to engage in mindfulness practices in a safe and supportive space. Regularly practicing mindfulness—taking the time to intentionally focus on the present moment without judgment—can help students feel and function better. It can help relieve stress, build resilience, and increase focus. Practicing with others boosts social connection and a sense of belonging.

All UVA undergrad and graduate students are welcome to join a Mindfulness Meetup group at any time during the semester and may drop in to any weekly session. No experience is required. Meetup sessions begin with a brief introduction and include a mindfulness practice and debriefing.
 
The number of groups hosted each semester depends on student interest.
