Meditation in Nature Study
A research team from the University of Virginia seeks adults aged 18–24 to participate in a study exploring the link between environments and meditation.

Purpose of the study: To understand how different environments affect meditation.

Study activities: You will partake in an 8-week meditation program during the UVA semester. Twice a week, you will be asked to be present at a site to participate in a meditation session. You will be asked to respond to questionnaires throughout the study. Some participants will be asked to wear an EEG headset or heart monitor and recorded (audio + video); some will be asked to participate in recorded interviews (audio + video).

Time Required for participation: Maximum 2.5 hours (including breaks and travel) in person, either at a site on UVA grounds or at a site a short distance away from UVA grounds twice a week for eight weeks.

Benefits: You will acquire training in contemplative life skills that may result in cultivating sustained attention and relaxation.
We are offering a maximum of $100 to participants: A $75 gift card for taking part in this study and a $25 gift card for consistent responses to thrice weekly prompts.
