
Studio 3a, or the drop-in meditation studio, is a meditation and prayer space that serves as a sanctuary for people of all faiths, spiritualities, and those who seek quiet reflection. This space is open to everyone, regardless of background, belief, or tradition. It is walk-in only and cannot be reserved. We ask that you respect the following norms and instructions to ensure a harmonious and inviting environment for all.
Norms
1. Respect for Diversity
Honor the diverse practices, beliefs, and traditions of others. This space is for everyone to practice in their own way
2. Minimize sounds, distractions, and vigorous movement
Maintain silence and calm to support meditation, prayer, and contemplation. Please turn off or silence electronic devices and leave them in the vestibule or locker.
3. Inclusivity
This is a judgment-free zone. All are welcome.
4. Non-Proselytizing
This space is not for promoting any specific religion or belief system. Respect others' privacy and personal journeys.
5. Shared Space
Use the space mindfully, sharing resources like cushions, mats, or books. Leave the area as you found it.
6. No Food or Drink
To maintain the sanctity of the space, please do not bring food or drinks inside.
Instructions
1. Entering the Space
Enter quietly and remove your shoes. Find a spot that feels comfortable and settle in.
2. Using the Space
You may sit, kneel, or stand as you prefer. Use any provided materials, such as meditation cushions or
prayer mats, with care.
3. Practicing Your Ritual
Engage in your meditation, prayer, or reflection in a manner that is respectful of the space and others present.
4. Exiting the Space
When leaving, do so quietly to maintain the peaceful environment for those remaining.
