2020 Dalai Lama Fellows Application Released

We are now accepting applications for the 2020 Dalai Lama Fellows program. This one-year fellowship is designed to support a global movement of next generation leaders (20- 35 year-olds) who are working to address global challenges in locally adapted ways and promote human flourishing. Through the program, young leaders learn to develop greater self-awareness, resiliency, and insight as well as deeper connections to others, their communities, and the world. To date, the program has trained 175 fellows from 48 countries.

Submissions will be accepted anytime between November 4, 2019 and January 5, 2020.

Housed at the University of Virginia’s Contemplative Science Center, Dalai Lama Fellows cultivates and supports a global movement of next generation leaders integrating contemplative work with social innovation to solve global challenges in locally adapted ways to promote human flourishing.

Dalai Lama Fellows (DLF) is a unique one-year leadership program for emerging social change leaders designed to cultivate resilience and compassion, strengthen commitment to universal human values, and broaden cultural perspectives. DLF’s ultimate goal is to help young leaders develop greater self-awareness, resiliency, and insight as well as deeper connections to others, their communities, and the world.

Dalai Lama Fellows is a unique experience. It is not a curriculum, it is a journey, a journey of self-exploration, faith, and hope. It augments your faith in humanity and crafts a new definition of leadership for you which is based on the most basic values of humanity, i.e., love and compassion.
— Anurodh Sachdeva, India, 2017 Fellow
