Student Employment Opportunities at UVA's Contemplative Sciences Center

The Contemplative Sciences Center (CSC) at the University of Virginia is seeking motivated and passionate undergraduate and graduate students to join our team for the 2025-2026 academic year (August 2025 - May 2026). There is also potential for summer 2026 employment. This is an exciting chance to contribute to CSC’s mission of advancing student flourishing, interdisciplinary research, and innovative programs that integrate contemplative practices into academic and community life. The student experience is at the core of our work, and your perspectives will directly shape our programs, research, and influence on Grounds.

Available Positions
CSC offers four distinct tracks to match your skills and interests:

  1. Operations Assistant (most openings available this year): Assist in maintaining and managing our spaces and operations to support a thriving contemplative environment.
  2. Programs Assistant: Help design and implement programs and events that foster mindfulness, well-being, and academic exploration.
  3. Research Assistant: Contribute to groundbreaking projects exploring the intersections of contemplation, education, and human development.
  4. Communications Assistant: Support key functions in communications, with an emphasis on writing, copy editing, and marketing.

Note: We strongly encourage students to start with the Operations track to gain a solid foundation in operationalizing activities within the Commons before exploring other tracks of interest.
