Connie Kresge
As Chief of Staff for the Contemplative Sciences Center, Connie Kresge is a key advisor and partner for the Executive Director, providing strategic management and direct oversight of financial and operational resources. She manages the Center’s planning processes as we open the Contemplative Commons in Fall 2024. She will also play an important role in developing the Center’s key partnerships across UVA and beyond.
Connie has been working as a virtual chief of staff and interim executive with vChief since 2016 and is thrilled to be joining the Contemplative Sciences Center as Chief of Staff. Currently living in Washington D.C., she will be moving to Charlottesville with her husband, two kids, and rambunctious dog this spring 2024. Connie began her own contemplative practice while an undergraduate at William & Mary, where she took Iyengar-based yoga classes. She has maintained a near-daily practice since. She also has participated in multiple one, three and ten-day Vipassana meditation retreats and is grateful to have the opportunity to encourage student flourishing at UVA. Her past work history includes consulting for the city of Chicago, launching the Nook Color for Barnes & Noble and running a brewery. She has an MBA from the University of Michigan and is originally from Richmond, Virginia.
