Joan Bryant

Joan Bryant is a Program Manager in the Contemplative Sciences Center. She currently coordinates dissemination of the Compassionate Schools Project. She has served as Project Manager in the national dissemination of a social-emotional and substance abuse prevention program for middle and high school students and worked with school districts throughout program engagement, training, implementation, process evaluation, and sustainability planning.

Joan also has coordinated projects testing the effectiveness of reading and math tutoring programs in elementary schools and managed the research components of a longitudinal youth problem behavior prevention project. She has taught and mentored Counseling graduate students and led teams in school-based research and intervention. She is committed to supporting schools and educators in delivering evidence-based programs with fidelity and building sustainability, in order to promote social-emotional competence and achieve important outcomes for youth and communities.
