Title

Siana Monet
Siana Monet is student intern at the Contemplative Sciences Center. She is a third-year majoring in Religious Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Siana first heard about CSC through her work at UVA's Tibet Center and sought out a position as a student intern. She has since enjoyed taking classes, attending lectures, and learning more about contemplative traditions through drop-in classes and events.

In addition to her work with CSC, Siana is an active member of the Native American Student Union, Flux, and the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" shadow-cast. She is also a proud denizen of the International Residential College.

Siana hopes to continue to pursue her interest in the intersection of religious belief and healing by studying Himalayan mediumship and astrological traditions, theories of religion, and Bhutan studies at the graduate level. She hopes that a more holistic understanding of health and wellness will better contribute to human flourishing. Siana hopes to facilitate this by contributing to these fields through work in academia or as a healer herself.
