Health Sciences community to participate in an intimate mini retreat of meditation, connection, and reflection with renowned meditation teacher, Sharon Salzberg, at the lovely natural setting of Morven Farm. Join us as you begin the new year with a commitment to self-care and renewal and taking time to cultivate inner peace and a compassionate heart.
Teachers:
Sharon Salzberg is the co-founder of the Insight Meditation Society and the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies in Barre, MA. She is a best-selling author of several books, including two new releases, Mindfulness at Work (December 2013) and Love Your Enemies (with Robert Thurman, 2013).
Susan Bauer-Wu is the director of the Compassionate Care Initiative and Kluge Professor in Contemplative End-of-Life Care at the UVA School of Nursing. She is the author of the book, Leaves Falling Gently: Living Fully with Serious & Life-Limiting Illness through Mindfulness, Compassion, & Connectedness (2011).
