Jahred Rosa-Sullivan is a lab coordinator for the Contemplative Innovation + Research Co-Lab (CIRCL) where he primarily manages the implementation of Virtual Reality (VR) studies. A recent graduate of UVA's Department of Religious Studies, a fellow of the Bridge to the Doctorate Program, and an alumnus of UCLA's Department of Psychology, Jahred has actively studied spiritual practices and experiences for the past 6 years. Jahred was led to the University of Virginia to support the research and public programming of the Contemplative Sciences Center when he learned of the new Contemplative Commons and UVA's standing as a preeminent institution in the contemplative sciences. Aspiring to earn his PhD in behavioral and social health sciences, he has been involved as a graduate research assistant in clinical science labs, including those under the advisory of Patrick Finan and Kim Penberthy. When not meticulously plugging away behind his laptop or in lab, you can catch Jahred in a vigorous work out on the basketball courts, getting lost on a walking trail or Sunday drive, or stumbling over his feet at salsa lessons!
