Bio

Mack McCormack is the Research & Operations Administrative Specialist for the Contemplative Commons with over twenty years of experience in administration, customer service and operational leadership. Her versatile background spans business ownership, hospitality management, and nonprofit administration. She is passionate about contributing to dynamic teams and driving organizational success.

Mack is also passionate about bringing people together to explore diverse spiritual paths so we can learn from one another. As an ordained shaman of the Church and Seminary of Divine Humanity in Port Ludlow, Washington, Mack has over fifteen years of extensive study in ancient indigenous spiritual practices from around the world. She has traveled to sacred sites in Central and North America, and across Europe, and is trained in ceremony.

In 2021 she co-founded Anam Cara Collective, a nonprofit that facilitates monthly gatherings of “Soul Friends” from Charlottesville and Richmond who come together to honor, support and nurture their spiritual journeys through profound discussion, exploring creative expression in art and sound, and conducting sacred ceremony, meditation, and Labyrinth walks. Anam Cara means “Soul Friend” in Gaelic. Mack was born in Ireland and honors her Celtic roots. She is a published author, a martial artist and a mother to four beautiful daughters.
