Beyond Ego - The Courage to Awaken, An Experiential Workshop

This workshop will begin with an introduction to the view that how we show up in our lives is often mediated by a constellation of parts and patterns that manage and protect us in an attempt to achieve a sense of safety and connection. Although these parts of us are well intentioned, mistaking them for the essence of who we are disconnects us from our already whole and awakened nature and limits our ability to courageously and responsively meet life and show up in this world from our greatest depth and integrity.

The majority of the workshop will be focused on a guided experiential practice that has its roots in Voice Dialogue, Internal Family Systems, Big Mind Process, and various direct/pointing out methods to inhabit and integrate our awakened heart and mind.

We will begin by having participants identify as and speak from various parts of themselves that manage, control, and limit their experience, both of themselves and of their world. Then we will guide them to identify with and speak as Awakened Mind and Awakened Heart. These essential dimensions of Self are then brought together into a unified Integrated Self, where we will explore what it means to step forward into life with greater courage, love, integrity, and wholeness. This method has been found over and over to bring people, even those with no prior experience of any meditation or other awakening practice, into what is essentially a full view of and from Enlightened Mind. It’s an experience which can, for many, be life changing.

This workshop is co-hosted as a jointly offered program with the Tom Tom Foundation for the Courage Tom Tom Festival 2026: Event Page.
