Anna Tucker

Anna Tucker is the Executive Assistant, Fiscal Coordinator, and Personnel Coordinator for the Office of Contemporary Sciences at the University of Virginia. But when not wearing one of the many hats at the office, she enjoys practicing mindfulness meditation, hiking along one of the many luscious Virginia trails, sleeping under the stars while camping, and tending to her vivacious garden. She also frequents many of the events the University of Virginia has to offer from the invigorating cultural events (theater and musical concerts) to the nail-biting sports events (favoring football and Women's basketball).  While she enjoys all that Virginia has to offer, she will never turn down an opportunity to travel. She's trailblazed both nationally, road tripping to now over 40 states to internationally, most recently to Costa Rica and in the Fall 2024 to the mouthwatering and colorful Portugal! She has worked and thrived at the University, since arriving in Charlottesville, Virginia from San Antonio, Texas in 2014 and hopes to enrich the community for many years to come.
