Yin Yoga (Monday)
Instructor: Will Harris (https://www.getlofti.com/well-with-will)
Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga. Postures are held for extended periods to target deep connective tissues—ligaments, joints, and bones—that aren't the focus in more dynamic “yang” styles of yoga. Through a meditative approach, simple postures are held longer to find stillness while creating space for the body and mind to renew itself and slow down. Suitable for all levels, this class will leave you with a new level of openness and relaxation throughout.
About Will
Will Harris is a global health and fitness expert, entrepreneur, and yoga and mindful meditation instructor. A former collegiate athlete, he intimately understands the need for effective self-care practices. In 2013, he co-founded Wadi Climbing, the first indoor climbing facility in the Palestinian West Bank. During his time in the Middle East, he witnessed the profound benefits of mindful movement on a community seeking internal freedom, despite the social and economic limitations out of their control. After returning to the U.S., Will began his yoga teacher training and meditation journey and has been leading heart-centered wellness workshops nationwide. Since 2019, he has been a partner at Lofti, focusing on holistic personal and professional development.

About Nora
Nora Brookfield spent many years tightening her hamstrings playing many sports, including college rugby, and then running after college. She first started yoga about 27 years ago and greatly disliked it since she could not find a way to power through it. Nora understands that yoga and mindfulness can be annoying because of how they often they are referenced in the Wellness Industrial Complex, but she is hoping you will try her class anyway. She has been teaching yoga to D1 athletes, incarcerated individuals, business executives, and to every type of body and person from age 6 to 86 for a long time. Nora currently teaches Mindful Leadership and Mindfulness for Well-Being at UVA. She has a private practice in somatic coaching, and works with executive coaches at Heidrick and Struggles.
Vin/Yin(Thursday)
Instructor: Lavon Egleton
This class offers the best of both worlds. It begins with a vinyasa sequence meant to draw your awareness into the present moment with breath and movement This practice engages muscles, builds focus, and expends energy which preps for the stillness to come. The class then transitions the cooling counterbalance of Yin. Longer held poses allow you to embrace the power stillness and acceptance to slowly and safely target connective tissues and joints. You well leave feeling present and more flexible in mind and body.
