A three‑week introduction to the foundational practices of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). Through guided meditation, gentle movement, and reflective inquiry, participants learn practical ways to meet stress with greater steadiness, clarity, and compassion. Each session offers simple, research‑supported tools for cultivating present moment awareness and responding—rather than reacting—to the challenges of daily life. This short course distills the heart of MBSR into an approachable format, providing practical tools for grounding and self‑regulation. No prior experience is needed.

About Susan
Susan Brock Wilkes, PhD, is an organizational psychologist and award-winning instructor who has trained extensively in teaching the evidence-based mindfulness programs. Susan is a certified teacher for both Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Mindful Self Compassion through the University of California, San Diego as well as Compassion Cultivation through Stanford University. She teaches mindfulness courses regularly through the Innerwork Center in Richmond, Virginia. Recent mindfulness teaching clients include Mindful Self Compassion for Health Care with Bon Secours Health System, Henrico County, mindfulness for genetic counselors, and individual consultations through Partner MD.
