Nathaniel (Than) Grove is the Web Technologies Manager for CSC as well as a Research Scientist in Religious Studies for Tibetan projects. He helps maintain and develop the Center‘s websites and digital resources. In collaboration with the UVA Library, he also works on developing and supporting the scholarly digital asset management system, Mandala.

Than received his Ph.D. in Religious Studies from the University of Virginia in 2004, focusing on the Mahāyoga system of Tantra propounded by the Old Schools (rnying ma) of Tibetan Buddhism. A self-taught programmer, he has worked in Digital Humanities since 2000, first with the Tibetan and Himalayan Library and then with SHANTI @ UVa. He currently holds a joint position with CSC and UVA Religious Studies developing Drupal and Wordpress based websites for a variety of digital humanities projects.
