The Golden Hours
Created by internationally touring bands David Wax Museum and Lowland Hum, The Golden Hours offers an immersive live music experience, inviting presence, stillness, and deep listening that is simultaneously individual and communal. Founding bands David Wax Museum and Lowland Hum have been touring for nearly 20 years and lauded by The New York Times, TIME, Rolling Stone and NPR. As NPR’s World Cafe host described The Golden Hours' innovative performance, “It brought me back to my first show, the feeling of anticipation, surprise and joy. These musicians have crafted something special, one that will show us how to recapture that magic again.” Since 2017, The Golden Hours has been invited into a diverse array of gatherings such as a national conference of archivists at The Rotunda at UVA, a colloquium organized by medical ethicists from Columbia University, and the Department of History & Literature at Harvard University. After performing at UVA’s Arts on the Hill, President Jim Ryan said, “It’s rare to know for sure that you’ll remember an hour of your life twenty years from now."
