UVA Students: Come study in community with your peers at our Mindful Pomodoro Study Café! Whether you need a change of scenery or just want to snack on pastries and sip on some coffee while studying, the Study Café has you covered. Bring your notes, books, and creativity. We’ll provide the rest!
We will follow the Pomodoro method and encourage breaks every 25 minutes.
Refreshments are first come first served.
The Pomodoro method is a a time management method to get work done! It boosts productivity and focus by breaking down tasks into focused 25-minute intervals (pomodoros) with short breaks, improving concentration and helping prevent burnout.
Benefits:
- Encourages focused work by setting a timer for a specific time interval, preventing distractions and helping you stay on task
- Reduces multitasking and encourages better time management for overall enhanced productivity
- Helps prevent stress & burnout as it allows our brains to rest and recharge, reducing mental fatigue and improve overall well-being
