How Might Creating Art with Your Non-Dominant Hand Affect Your Brain?

Join the Contemplative Sciences Center Friday, September 26 the Ginkgo Garden courtyard for a playful and mind-expanding workshop in mixed media illustration—using your non-dominant hand!

Neuroanatomist Jill Bolte Taylor notes: “If creativity is located in your non-dominant hemisphere (the right hemisphere for left-handed people), then using your non-dominant hand may stimulate those cells.”

It’s challenging, fun, and a powerful way to boost brain plasticity in ways you never imagined. No art experience required—just curiosity and a willingness to explore.
