Salzberg, one of the leading teachers of meditation, will discuss the recent proliferation of meditation in the United States alongside UVA Professors Erik Braun and David Germano. This promises to be a stimulating review of the rise of mindfulness, insight, compassion, and other contemplative practices.

"Building Resilience in the Complex and Hyper-Connected World of Medicine"

In this talk, Dr. Mick Krasner will provide an overview of the current health professional work-life experience, framing the challenges and the imperative for building resilience. He will review some of the intervention research and examine the Mindful Practice program’s effects on burnout, well-being and patient centered care.
