Virtual Meditation on the Lawn was a virtual drop-in meditation or short guided reflection that CSC along with University partners hosted from 2020-2023. These brief, 7-8 minute sessions, most Mondays during the school year, were open to the UVA community and anyone else who was interested in pausing, particularly at this very stressful and often lonely time, to cultivate mindfulness, compassion, resilience, and a sense of belonging with others so inclined. Each week a different instructor, practitioner, or UVA community leader guided the meditation or moment of reflection. Each session was recorded and added to playlists on both Insight Timer and CSC’s YouTube channel.
